Anne Dunlop

Curl up with Enchanting Alice - now in paperback! Anne Dunlop

Farming, babies, sex, eccentricity; all the quirkiness and wit Anne Dunlop’s fans expect and then some!

Jane was seventeen when Michael whisked her away to the wetlands of rural Ireland – to share a farmhouse and their marriage with his mother who sleepwalks, his father who snores and an unmarried sister who hates her. It was never going to work.

Jane pulls on her wellies and keeps walking till she reaches street lighting, pavements and independence. She moves into Stove Pipe Town.

Michael stays and continues to farm – his cows will always come first. Their children are born and Jane stops missing him.

Then she goes to a rock concert. Dressed to kill in her black halter-neck frock, Jane catches the eye of the lead singer who smoulders from every poster on every lamppost in Ireland. He invites her up on the stage to dance ...

The Dolly Holiday "I have been scheming for years to shift Richard. Once, a shift on a sweaty dance floor would have satisfied me. But as you get older, horizons broaden and close dancing is no longer enough. So I reflected anyway that night. Next door he lay in his fiancee's bed. Soon they would be married and I would still be scheming to shift him."

Helen Gordon, wickedly funny heroine of "The Pineapple Tart" and "A Soft Touch", is now looking for a job as well as a man. Typically, she runs through careers even faster than she runs through love-interests, taking on everything from novel-writing to working in a Wild West theme park.

One way or another she is determined to grovel her way to the top, but her infatuation with her best friend's bridegroom distracts her.

But surely even Helen must get lucky eventually?
Kissing The Frogadunlop4 €8.88 €5.88
Kissing The Frog Sonia and Marian dream of turning their frogs into handsome (and generous) princes. But life isn't like that; Paddy Butler is unfaithful and terminally careless; Marian's fiance, Jonathan, just isn't the sort of man you'd want to marry. He's too mean for a start.

Sonia is glamorous and has love bites on her bottom; Marian is plain and has a Christian Conscience. But both women discover that kissing the frog isn't the way to transform their lives...
A Soft Touchadunlop2 €8.88 €5.88
A Soft Touch The gorgeous Helen Gordon is back and so are the rest of her eccentric family - all except Jennifer, who after a shotgun wedding lives in the wilds of Kerry with a family of vets.

Life in Derryrose is as chaotic as ever; Daisy has changed from airhead to farmer; Laura has left her American husband for good and her twin babies, Shaun and Scarlett, rule the roost; Sarah, the teacher, has turned feminist.

And Helen, the original "pineapple tart", still has not found the love of her life...
